Shakeology FAQ'sHere are some of the most FAQ’s from Shakeology.com as well as the most common questions we receive from my customers. If you have more questions, please contact me!
What Shakeology Flavors are availible? Shakeology is currently available in Chocolate, Vanilla Greenberry, Vegan Chocolate and Vegan Strawberry flavors. Chocolate is by far my customer’s favorite blend but many love the other flavors as well. I am also a huge chocolate fan. Does Shakeology Taste Good? Sure does! Or I wouldn’t be drinking it. :) Shakeology is good with just water and ice but is even more delicious when used with many of our Shakeology recipes. One of my favorite blends is 1/2 cup of coconut/almond milk, 1/2 cup of water, 1 tbsp. of Peanut butter (or PB2 powder), 1 banana, 1 scoop (or packet) of chocolate shakeology + a big cup of ice. Blend well. Deliciousness! Is Shakeology Good for You? Is the sky blue?! (jk!) :) Beachbody has put their heart and soul into the development of this product. I challenge you to find a product on the market that has the high quality ingredients that Shakeology has in one bag. It would take you quite a few supplements and WAY more money to get the nutrients you get in 1 scoop of Shakeology. Where is Shakeology Available for Purchase? Shakeology is only available for purchase to those living in the United States and Canada and can only be purchased through a Beachbody coach (me.) Shakeology is also NOT available in retail stores for purchase. To order, go here. What does my order of Shakeology come with? If you decide to sign up for monthly autoship when you order, you will receive a 30-day money back guarantee, FREE Shipping, and me as your FREE Fitness and Health Coach. Free shipping will save you about $11 per month on your order and ensure that you never run out of product. You can cancel anytime if you wish without any penalties. What if I don’t like Shakeology? Can I get a full refund? Great News! Shakeology is backed by a 30-day, money back guarantee called the "Bottom of the Bag guarantee." If you don’t begin to see and feel the benefits of Shakeology within the very first month of using it, or you are not 100% satisfied for any reason, simply return the empty bag within 30 days for a full refund of the purchase price less shipping and handling. (Of course if you chose monthly autoship you wouldn’t have any shipping or handling!) When you purchase through me, you also get our help in getting your order refunded. How Much Does Shakeology Cost? A 30-day supply of Shakeology retails for $129 (USD). Assuming that you are consuming one shake a day, Shakeology is $4.33 (USD) per serving. In my opinion, that is pretty inexpensive considering how hard it is to replace an entire meal for less than that and have it be nutritious. Even your fast food restaurants or local coffee shop can’t beat that price. For the amount of nutrition you are receiving it is well worth the investment into your health. How Long Does Shakeology Last? Shakeology comes in a 30-day bulk package so if you consume one shake a day each bag will last you a month. For added convenience, Shakeology also comes in 24 individual serving packets so you can take your meal with you to work and other events on the go! Is Shakeology Organic? Beachbody has put every effort into making sure that the ingredients in Shakeology do not contain pesticides, are not destroyed in processing, are produced using the best of the fair trade practices, and have many of the benefits of what is considered “organic.” You might ask why it is not “certified organic?” The experience of the Beachbody development team has shown that sometimes certified organic does not necessarily translate to higher quality. Certifying something can simply jack up the price, especially with ingredients of this quality and quantity. Beachbody decided to focus on making sure the quality and integrity of the product lives up to the promise, without asking you to pay the premium. Shakeology mentions “whole-food” ingredients but how can this be possible if it is a powder? Shakeology uses several whole-food sources of nutrients, rather than using only synthetic extracts or isolates (like some multivitamin pills do). The benefit of whole-food derived ingredients is that the nutrients are preserved as close to their natural state as possible and are therefore delivered to your body in the most holistic way possible. Your body will better absorb and more efficiently use nutrients from whole-food sources. The process of converting a food from its natural state to a powder, if done incorrectly, can destroy the nutrients in that food. With Shakeology, Beachbody ensures that the highest levels of nutrients are preserved through strict temperature-controlled drying and processing. Is Shakeology Vegetarian? Yes, it is 100% vegetarian. The only non-vegetarian ingredient is whey protein, which comes from milk. There are also Vegan flavors that contain plant proteins. What Type of Protein is Shakeology Made From? The primary source of protein is from whey, which comes from milk. Whey is one of the most bio-available protein sources. Translation: It rapidly gets to work on repairing your muscles and the amino acids are easily absorbed and used by your body. Is it OK to drink more than one shake per day? Yes, but it is not recommended replacing more than 2 meals a day with 2 shakes per day. Can I drink this right before or after a workout? There are worse things you can consume before or after a workout but something with at least 4 parts carbohydrates to 1 part protein like our P90X Results and Recovery formula from Beachbody is a better option. :) Can someone with lactose-intolerance drink Shakeology even though it has 15g of whey protein (derived from milk)? Because needs vary for each person with lactose-intolerance, it is recommended that you check with your doctor first. However, Shakeology is made with whey protein isolate, which is over 90% pure protein leaving only 10% of the ingredient, or 1.5g, where some lactose can be found. In addition, Shakeology is loaded with digestive enzymes–and Lactase is one of them. Lactase is the enzyme that breaks down lactose and is found in over-the-counter products like Lactaid. We recommend starting with a small dosage of Shakeology, monitor your body’s reaction and, if tolerant, slowly build up to a full dose or split a dosage up throughout the day. Can I drink Shakeology while pregnant or breastfeeding? Rule of thumb... ALWAYS check with your doctor first. Most likely, your doctor will approve (if you're pregnant you'll need a folic acid supplement) but always, always ask you doctor first. My doctor is quite impressed with the ingredients! :) Shakeology is dietary supplement in a food form, and since our vegan formulas are not fortified, the levels of any one nutrient should not be an issue for anyone or for a pregnant woman. Pregnant women need to careful about levels of Vitamin A (10,000 IU is the upper limit), but the amounts we have at unfortified levels are similar to those found in unfortified foods and in fruits and vegetables. Accordingly, pregnant women should consider their intake of vegan Shakeology as part of their normal diet, but should not rely solely on Shakeology to meet the needs of pregnancy for nutrients like, iron, folate, Vitamin A, or calcium. Doctors across the country are using Shakeology, and many are recommending it to their patients. See what the medical community thinks about the Healthiest Meal of the Day!
